Dr. Yanovitch is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of New York (023357). Pronouns are she/her/hers. Before transitioning to private practice, she held a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and was a staff Psychologist at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System at the Manhattan Campus, where she also served as the LGBTQ+ Veteran Care Coordinator. Previously, she worked at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in the Adult Outpatient Clinic. She now sees clients at her private practice in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She is am a member of the IOCDF (International OCD Foundation) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).

Dr. Yanovitch is especially passionate about helping people who are experiencing thoughts that scare or confuse them, or are engaging in behaviors they feel are unhelpful in their lives. These experiences are more common than you might think, and she can help when things feel overwhelming.

Treatment is tailored to you, using evidence-based psychotherapies to support you in getting back on track with your life. Dr. Yanovitch is trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and Mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches (ACT and DBT). She uses these to increase flexibility in thinking and behavior, while helping you to understand how relationship dynamics impact your life.
